We strive to provide competitive pricing to all our customers. Certain aspects of machining can greatly increase (or decrease) the cost of machined parts. For the best pricing, you may want to consider these ways to reduce cost:

  • Do not “over tolerance” features. Very close tolerances cost more.
  • Flatness is often an issue. Specify the flatness required or specify if flatness is “stock” or in the restrained condition.
  • Surface finish for non-critical areas should be “stock”, as cast or 125 where possible.
  • Higher quantities are less expensive.
  • 3D model files from Solidworks, AutoCad, etc. can be very helpful to cut programming costs but be aware that drawings with tolerances are usually necessary as well.
  • Part packaging or cleaning can be very time consuming. Please specify the type of cleaning or packaging required.
