Humboldt’s Quality Control is built in to all aspects of our business.  We have established procedures to insure our customer’s parts are completed to the drawing and purchase order requirements.  When an order is received, we make sure the drawing revision matches what’s specified on the purchase order.  If lot control is required, we segregate the lots and verify the lot sizes per the purchase order.  Any special purchase order requirements are noted on the shop traveler. Material or process certifications are kept on file as required.

Humboldt’s Shop Traveler specifies the flow of the part from beginning to end.  This document is stamped as each process is completed.  First article, in-process, and final inspection are recorded on the traveler.

Humboldt uses a custom designed database for quotations, purchase order entry, traveler entry, job tracking, inventory control and more. Bar code labels are created for all parts and our employees scan in and out of jobs as they are processed.  We have real time tracking of all jobs as well as complete job costing information.  We create vendor purchase orders for the purchase of material or outside services. We can duplicate purchase orders and travelers for repeat jobs to insure a consistent result.

Humboldt’s motto of “Quality First” is the mindset our employees work by and is evident in their finished parts.  Our employees look at the “big picture” which can be critical for many jobs.  Planning ahead is an important aspect to creating a quality product.  Our willingness to share information and work closely together allows us to maintain the quality our customers expect.
